Land Consent applications are considered by the Committee of Adjustment if they are undisputed, or by the Director of Development Services under delegated authority, under the authority of the Planning Act of Ontario. Consents are considered under the policies of the Official Plan. Planning Staff will provide you with information about disputed and non-disputed Consents at your pre-consultation meeting. Typical land consent generally takes approximately 120 days to process which includes seeking input from the public and various agencies.
Additional fees may also payable to the relevant Conservation Authority: Rideau Valley Conservation Authority, Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority or Quinte Region Conservation Authority and/or to the Township of South Frontenac for onsite sewage disposal review.
Land Consent applications are subject to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal process under the Planning Act of Ontario.
