Cross Country skiing on a sunny day

South Frontenac has a lot to offer for the outdoor enthusiasts including several parks, multi use trails and sports and activities.

Frontenac Arch Biosphere

The Frontenac Arch Biosphere introduces you the numerous and wonderful trails and routes in the region, but also to the character of this landscape and community. There's no better way to get to know a region so very rich in natural and cultural heritage than to walk, cycle, paddle, ski or tour across the face of the land.

FAB does not own or manage any of the trails you'll find on their site. The hiking trails are in the capable hands of, or are cared for by organizations that have partnered with FAB and the Biosphere Trails Council to map and describe them. Members of the community have come together to lay out paddle, cycling, heritage walking and driving routes. The information from FAB Trails is a community effort, and a FAB program. You will find, as you explore this site, that there are frequent links out to numerous community sites for deeper detail, and to learn more of partner's roles in the community.

Land O' Lakes Tourist Association

The Land O'Lakes Tourist Association was founded in 1943 by a group of visionary business people. The end of WW2 was in sight and tourist operators knew there would be a huge influx of Americans to the Land O'Lakes in the coming years . They agreed a collective effort in marketing the region woudl be essential to attracting tourists. Initially only serving Tweed and the northern township of Frontenac and Lennox and Addington Counties. LOLTA has now grown to encompass 9 municipalities and collectively market and promote tourism in the Land O' Lakes Region to the world.
