Reduced Loads on Township Roads now in effect to April 30, 2023

Due to current weather and road conditions, all roads within South Frontenac are subject to restricted loads effective immediately to April 30, 2023. No commercial motor vehicle or trailer, other than a public vehicle, shall have a load exceeding 5,000 kilograms on designated roads as per Section 122 of the Highway Traffic Act. This helps protect roads in the Township.

By-Law Enforcement and Short-term Rentals Survey

South Frontenac is a great place to live, work, visit and play and we want to keep it that way! We are asking all residents to take a short, 5-minute survey about by-law enforcement and the regulation of short-term rentals in the Township.

Many municipalities have introduced by-laws regarding short-term rental properties. We want to hear your thoughts to chart the best course for South Frontenac.

Join us at the Frontenac Community Arena on Monday, February 20, 2023 from 11 am – 3 pm for our Family Day in South Frontenac community event. There will be snowtubing and other snow activities, horse drawn wagon rides, skating and more. All activities are free.

From 11 am to noon, the South Frontenac Stocksport Club will be hosting a trial and demonstration. Come out to learn about this emerging sport and thriving, internationally ranked club.

With Environment Canada’s forecast calling for wind chill temperatures values of -35°C to -45°C in the region, KFL&A Public Health is issuing a Cold Weather Health Warning starting tonight into Friday morning and again Friday night into Saturday morning.
