IMPORTANT UPDATE: Frontenac OPP opens Township roads

Frontenac OPP have reopened all Township roads. Clean up operations are still underway. OPP are advising drivers to "use extreme caution as some of the smaller roads may not have been plowed as there are still some vehicles stuck. Main roads are in decent, snow covered shape.”

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Frontenac OPP Closes all Township Roadways

Frontenac OPP are closing all roadways in South Frontenac and the County of Frontenac, restricting traffic only to emergency vehicles and snowplows. Highway 401 remains closed from Brighton to Brockville and in other sections of the province.

South Frontenac OPP is asking all residents to not venture out on the roads. Driving conditions are treacherous.

South Frontenac Township Declares Significant Weather Event Dec 23, 2022

The Township of South Frontenac is declaring a Significant Weather Event due to a major storm in the region, in accordance with Ontario Regulation 366/18.

The declaration was made at 4:30 pm on December 23, 2022. All roads and sidewalks maintained by the Municipality will be in a “state of repair” until further notice.
