The 2022-2023 Frontenac County Warden and Deputy Warden were elected and sworn in, and members of the 2022-2026 Frontenac County Council were sworn in at a special inaugural council meeting at Frontenac County Courthouse in Kingston on November 30.

Winter parking restrictions in effect

Just a reminder, there is no parking on Township roads and village streets from 12 midnight to 7 am from December 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023 so our crews can keep roads clear and safe. We will not be responsible for damages to cars parked overnight or other obstacles that interfere with winter road maintenance. Thanks for your cooperation!

Battersea Road Reconstruction Work to Begin

Construction will begin on a 5 km section of Battersea Road between Burnt Hills Road and Bradden Road in late November. This project will include a component of winter work on roadsides with more major road improvements in early spring. 

  • Work will begin in late November 2022 and will take 7-8 months with completion in late July 2023
  • Ditching and rock removal work will happen over the winter months, with a break in construction before road resurfacing begins in the spring

Parks Canada Closes Brass Point Bridge Again

Please be advised that Parks Canada will be closing the Brass Point Bridge again on the Rideau Canal, 550 Burnt Hills Road on Wednesday, November 23 and Thursday, November 24 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. There will be no detours in place, so please take alternate routes.
