All residents owning a dog are required to license their dog, complete the form and mail it, or attend one of the local businesses who are selling them on behalf of the township. The fee is $15.00 from now until the last day of February. The fee increases to $30.00 on March 1st. For more information see our "Animal Control" page.
Kennel Licenses must be purchased at the Municipal Office (4432 George Street) at a cost of $125.00 until February 28, after which the fee will increase to $150.00 per license. Click here to download and complete the dog registration form in advance.
Highlights for dog owners from our Animal Control page include:
- The Animal Control by-law prohibits dogs running at large
- A kennel license is required where there are more than 6 dogs being boarded or lodged
- All dogs over two (2) months old must be licensed
- Pick up any feces left by your dog on any property
Purchasing a Dog Tag
During the months of December, January and February residents may purchase dog tags during regular business hours at the township office as well as from the following locations. As of March 1st each year, tags will only be available at the township office.
