Effective July 4, 2022, at 8:00 am, the main entrance to the Municipal Offices at 4432 George St. in Sydenham will be temporarily closed to allow for renovations to the accessible ramp, staircase, and front door vestibule.
During this time, residents and visitors can access main level reception services through the Council Chambers entrance that fronts on George St. (left of the main entrance). Those accessing the Development Services Department can continue to enter through the lower-level entrance located at the back of the building.
Included in the 2021 municipal budget, the replacement of the accessible ramp, stairs, and interior vestibule was made possible with partial funding support from the province.
It is anticipated that this project may take up to two (2) months to complete. Residents are reminded to adhere to all safety controls and directional signage in place.
Residents are also encouraged to utilize phone and email channels for inquiries, as well as online or drop box payment options whenever possible. The community’s patience and cooperation is greatly appreciated while these necessary improvements are being made.
