Canada Post may strike – Here’s what you need to know about Township services

As of May 22, Canada Post workers, who are members of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW), will be in a legal position to strike. We ask that you not put payments and other time-sensitive documents in the mail. Please read the various payment options or document delivery options listed below. 

Pay/View Taxes and Sydenham Water Bills

Despite the interruptions with the mail service, you are still responsible for paying bills on time. The next tax bill is due June 30, 2025.

You can pay online, at your bank, or in person at the Sydenham Library meeting room at 4412 Wheatley St. 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday (starting, May 26, 2025 office hours will change to 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday). A drop box is located outside the library for residents making in-person payments outside of those hours.

Residents can also send an email to taxes@southfrontenac.net or call our offices at 613-376-3027, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday for account balance inquires. Starting, May 26, 2025 office hours will change to 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

Entrance Permit Deposit Cheques

Public Services will inform you either by phone or email when your cheque is ready to be picked up. Cheques can be picked up at our temporary main office at 4412 Wheatley St.

Building & Development

Applications, requests, fees, and time-sensitive documents can be delivered in person to the Development Services office at 3910 Battersea Road between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm Monday to Friday (starting, May 26, 2025 office hours will change to 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday). There is a drop box at this location.  Fees can be paid in person or online.

Other correspondence 

If you need to give a letter or other non-bill correspondence to the Township of South Frontenac, please drop it off between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday (starting, May 26, 2025 office hours will change to 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday), at the appropriate municipal customer counter.
