Purpose and Effect of the Proposed By-law
The purpose of the proposed by-law is to change the zone on the subject property from Rural (RU) to Limited Service Residential - Waterfront (RLSW). A building permit can only be issued for a lot with frontage on a private lane and/or navigable waterway if the lot is in a limited service residential zone. The effect of the by-law would be to allow a building permit to be issued for a house.
