South Frontenac Township Opens Survey for 2026 Budget

South Frontenac Township has started to prepare their 2026 budget and is asking residents to take a short survey to share their input. Residents can take the short survey at surveymonkey.com/r/SF2026budget by November 21, 2025.

“This survey is an excellent means for the people in our growing community to have a say about the services, projects and events in the Township they feel will impact our community the most,” says Stephanie Kuca, Director of Finance and Treasurer.

For example, the survey will ask residents whether they would like to see a reasonable increase to enhance services, increase taxes only enough to maintain current services, or cut services to reduce or maintain the current tax rate. The Township’s 2025 budget resulted in a tax increase of 4.41%, an average household increase of $77.74 a year.

As with last year’s survey, we ask residents to provide information about the number of people in their household, and the ages of the people in the household. This will help us compare the answers of residents of different age groups, and with and without children in the home. Answers will create a more detailed picture of the needs of our community.

“We value the voices of our residents, and we want them to weigh in on the projects and resources that are important to them,” says Mayor Ron Vandewal. “The results from this survey will help us understand what the Townships key priorities should be and how to shape our community for the future.”

Residents can learn more and sign up to receive updates on this year’s budget process on the EngageFrontenac.ca project page
