South Frontenac Volunteers Invited to Appreciation Luncheon

Mayor Vandewal and Members of Council will welcome South Frontenac volunteers to their annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon on Saturday, November 15, 2025. The luncheon will take place at the Storrington Centre from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm.

Guests will be provided with a hot lunch served by local Chef Elisa from Rampant Kitchen, enjoy comradery, and celebrate the hard work of the volunteers that make South Frontenac a thriving and welcoming rural community.

“Volunteers are the backbone of our community, and their efforts deserve to be celebrated”, says Mayor Ron Vandewal. “We’re proud to recognize the people who make South Frontenac such a caring and vibrant place. The meal will be delicious, and the guests will be warm and gracious. It is one of my favourite events of the year.”

For a third year, nominations are being accepted for special recognition during the luncheon. The categories include ‘Youth Volunteerism’, ‘Good Neighbour’, and ‘Dedication Recognition’. Nominations will be reviewed, and one person from each category will receive a special thanks at the luncheon. If you would like to nominate someone for the recognition, please complete the nomination form before Friday, November 7, 2025.

The event is open to all South Frontenac residents who have generously volunteered their time in the past year. The luncheon is free to attend but a RSVP is required. Plus-ones are welcome.
