  • Update on Fish Creek Bridge: January 7, 2026

    Construction of the Fish Creek Bridge continues to progress toward completion and crews have been working on average six days per week since late October. The last several weeks, however, have been unforgiving with progress due to the freezing rain and heavy snowfalls. View the the forecasted work schedule. 

  • Updates to Loughborough Waste Disposal Site

    Effective January 10, 2026, the Loughborough Waste site will begin operations as a full Waste Transfer Facility. 

    A minimum charge of $20 has been introduced to harmonize fees with the minimum charges in place at other South Frontenac waste disposal sites.

The new lot would be 0.43 hectares in size with 71 metres frontage on Dewitt Lane and 139 metres frontage on Bob's Lake. The proposed by-law would place the new lot into a site-specific zone that would only allow vehicle parking, boat docking, and limited accessory storage for the island properties. The site-specific zone would also outline minimum lot area and frontage as well as minimum building setback requirements.
