As of 3:00 pm on February 12, 2025, the Township of South Frontenac has declared a Significant Weather Event in accordance with Ontario Regulation 239/02. All roads and sidewalks maintained by the Municipality will be in a “state of repair” until the declaration has been lifted.

The Council of the Township of South Frontenac will hold a Public Meeting on March 11 to pass a by-law to stop up, close and transfer ownership of one portion of unopened road allowance (between Concession 11 and Concession 12; Loughborough; Part Lot 22, Concession 11 Loughborough).

On January 30, members of Council, South Frontenac staff and South Frontenac Fire & Rescue recognized 11 local firefighters with Fire Services Exemplary Service Medals from the Provincial and Federal governments.
