Purpose and Effect of the Proposed By-law
The applicant has submitted a Zoning By-law Amendment (ZBA) application which proposes to change the zone over an approximately 3.4-hectare (8.6-acre) portion of the subject property from Urban Residential – First Density (UR-1) to site-specific Urban Commercial (UC-XX) to allow a medical clinic, as well as accessory buildings and structures associated with that use. No changes or development is proposed for the northern portion of the subject property, which is zoned Environmental Protection (EP) under Zoning By-law No. 2003-75, as amended. The remainder of the southern portion of the subject property will remain under the UR-1 Zone and will continue to function as an urban residential lot.

How to Get Involved: 

The purpose of the public meeting is to share information and to hear and consider public comments on the proposal before Council makes decision on the application. Council may pass a by-law during the Council meeting in which the statutory public meeting is held, if the planning matter is deemed to be technical in nature and no concerns were raised prior to or during the public meeting, per Procedural By-law as Amended by By-law 2023-44.
