Purpose and Effect of the Application

The owners propose to build a new detached garage with a footprint of approximately 194m2 on the subject property. A minor variance is being requested from section 5.24.1 to permit the lot coverage of all accessory buildings to exceed the lot coverage of the principal structure (dwelling). The proposed structure would increase the lot coverage of all accessory structures to approx. 1%, whereas the existing dwelling has a lot coverage of approx. 0.6%.
