Purpose and Effect of the Application

The owner proposes to construct a detached garage in the front yard. They are seeking a minor variance from section 7.3.2 of the Zoning Bylaw which requires a 20 metre setback from the front yard property line lot line for a new accessory building. The detached garage is proposed to be 8.5 metres from the front yard lot line.
