Snow Social Returns to Sydenham for a Fourth Year of Winter Fun

Mark your calendars and bundle up! The much-loved Snow Social is back for its fourth year on Saturday, January 24, 2026, bringing a full day of frosty fun to The Point Park and the village of Sydenham, just 20 minutes north of Kingston. 

This free, family-friendly winter celebration invites residents and visitors alike to embrace the season like true Canadians. Admission is free, but donations will be gratefully accepted. Attendees are encouraged to dress for the weather; Snow Social is proudly an outdoor all-weather event. 

From morning to dusk, Snow Social will offer something for everyone, including snow tubing (hill conditions permitting), crackling firepits, live music, food vendors, a vibrant indoor vendor market, engaging kids’ activities, and SNOW much more. The event celebrates winter, community, and the joy of gathering outdoors during the coldest months of the year. 

“Snow Social has become a cherished winter tradition in South Frontenac,” says Mayor Vandewal. “This event would not be possible without the incredible support of our community groups, volunteers, and sponsors who come together year after year to make it such a success. Their collaboration, creativity, and generosity truly reflect the spirit of our Township, and we are so grateful for everything they do to bring our community together.” 

Parking for the event will be available at Loughborough Public School, Sydenham High School, The Point Park and the Sydenham Library. Loughborough Public School indoor activities include face painting, Kraft corner with Kathy, a vendor market, balloon animals and a magic show, and stories and songs will take place in the library. Hot chocolate, hosted by the Albion Lodge No. 109, will also be available in the atrium at Loughborough Public School.

Snow Social continues to grow each year thanks to strong partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and volunteers, all working together to create a welcoming and memorable winter experience for residents and visitors alike.
