South Frontenac to Celebrate Community Volunteers at Annual Luncheon

Wednesday, October 7, 2026 – South Frontenac Township is inviting local volunteers to come together and be celebrated at Council’s annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon on November 21 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Verona Lions Club. 

The free luncheon is open to South Frontenac residents who have generously volunteered their time in our community throughout 2026. Plus-ones are welcome, and advance registration is required. 

The Township is also accepting nominations for special recognition in three categories: Youth Volunteerism, Good Neighbour, and Dedication Recognition. One individual from each category will be recognized at the luncheon for their outstanding contribution to the community. 

• Long-Standing Volunteerism Recognition – Recognizes an individual who has demonstrated a long-term commitment to volunteering and has made a meaningful contribution to the South Frontenac community over many years. 
• Good Neighbour Recognition – Recognizes an individual who demonstrates exceptional community spirit by helping neighbours, supporting others, or contributing to their community in ways that may not always be considered traditional volunteerism.
• Youth Volunteer Recognition – Recognizes an outstanding young person, 21 years of age or younger, who demonstrates commitment to their community through volunteerism. 

Nominations close November 2, and luncheon registration closes November 13.
