South Frontenac Township Designates Long-Term Employee, Rebecca Roy, to Director of Development Services

Rebecca Roy, a dedicated 6-year employee of the Township, has been appointed as South Frontenac Township’s new Director of Development Services. Her new official title will be Director of Development Services/Chief Building Official.

Rebecca brings more than 28 years of municipal experience, including extensive leadership within the Township as Manager of Building Services / Chief Building Official. In that role, she contributed to corporate initiatives and supported Council and senior leadership on development matters, legislative changes, risk management, and service improvements. Rebecca’s experience reflects a strong understanding of both the operational and strategic dimensions of municipal development services in a growing rural community.

“Rebecca has been a constant well-respected, highly motivated member of Development Services department for many years.” says Chief Administrative Officer Louise Fragnito. “Her knowledge of Township processes and policies, as well as her leadership skills, will make this transition seamless. We are very fortunate to have her knowledge of Ontario building codes and planning processes, as well as her innovation, leading our team.” 

Throughout her municipal career, Rebecca has led a range of service enhancements aimed at improving efficiency and customer experience. In her new role, Rebecca will continue to build on this foundation by strengthening service integration across Development Services, supporting sustainable growth and economic development, and enhancing a customer-focused approach to service delivery on behalf of the Township of South Frontenac.
