Update: September 15 Public Meeting Held for Verona Housing Water and Wastewater Environmental Assessments

On September 15, 2026, Township Council hosted Public Information Meeting # 3 for the Verona Housing Water and Wastewater Environmental Assessments (EA). During the meeting J. L. Richards & Associates Ltd. and Cambium Inc. presented updates on the various natural environment, archaeological, water and wastewater field investigations that have been carried out for the EA’s that are presently underway. Copies of the presentation materials from this public meeting have been posted on the projects Engage Frontenac page available for public review: engagefrontenac.ca/verona-servicing. Copies of the environmental impact, hydrogeological, and water resources impact (wastewater) studies may also be found on this site. 

Residents, businesses and other agency stakeholders are encouraged to view the public meeting materials and provide written comments and/or questions to W. Troy Dunlop, C.E.T., Manager of Engineering and Capital Projects at tdunlop@southfrontenac.net  and Susan Jingmiao Shi, P. Eng., M. Eng., Associate, Senior Environmental Engineer at sshi@jlrichards.ca   

Written comments must be submitted to the listed contacts prior to September 30, 2026, and will form part of the consultation record for the project.  A convenient comment sheet is available on the Engage Frontenac project page under the ‘Important Documents’ tab.
