The Frontenac Ontario Provincial Police Detachment is comprised of a host detachment located in Hartington (Township of South Frontenac) and a satellite detachment in Sharbot Lake (Township of Central Frontenac).
The Detachment is responsible for policing approximately 3,100 square kms in the Townships of Central, North and South Frontenac as well as the Shabot Obaadjiwan First Nation and 40 km of Hwy 401. The total full time resident population of the area served by the Detachment is approximately 27,000 plus an additional 17,000 seasonal residents.
The staffing complement of the Frontenac O.P.P. Detachment is as follows:
- 1 Staff Sergeant,
- 5 Sergeants (4 frontline 1 Administrative),
- 34 Constables; and
- 5 civilian staff
