Geocaching Challenge
Friday, April 17, 2026, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Ever wanted to try your hand at geocaching? This engaging game, played world-wide, uses either hand-held GPS devices or smartphone apps to locate hidden treasures, or “caches”. Geocaches come in all shapes and sizes, and finding them can sometimes be very tricky! Come to Elbow Lake to learn the basics of using a GPS device, and work with your family to explore our property to find the numerous secret caches and puzzles hidden around Elbow Lake.

Join us for this information session to help you better understand the roles and responsibilities of a municipal council member. Topics will include an overview of how a municipality runs; understanding municipal budgets; and Council proceedings.
Earth Day
Wednesday, April 22, 2026
Earth Day is an annual event to demonstrate support for environmental protection. Get outside and help clean up your neighbourhood or a public park. Biodegradable bags for garbage pick-up can be found at any Township office. Please place these bags (no tags required) out only on your regular garbage collection day during the week of Monday, April 20 to Thursday April 24.
Frontenac Women's Chorus - 30th Anniversary Concert

Touch the Truck
Wednesday, May 6, 2026 – 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Aligning with Emergency Preparedness (EP) Week, which takes place the first full week of May, Touch the Truck features many activities focused on what families can do to plan for different emergencies. Of course, there are lots of big trucks and equipment to explore, with South Frontenac’s Public Services, South Frontenac Fire and Rescue, Frontenac OPP, and Frontenac Paramedics all participating in the event.
Spring Paddlefest

Spring Paddlefest is Frontenac Outfitters' (6674 Bedford Rd., Sydenham) annual three-day event, drawing paddlers from across Southern Ontario to kick off the paddling season together. Whether you're a seasoned paddler or just starting out, this is your chance to connect with fellow paddlers, learn new skills for free. BBQ Smoker Boyz serving up delicious, award-winning food throughout the event. 100% of proceeds from the BBQ will go directly to CHEO.
