Verona Lions Garlic Farmers Market

Verona Lions Hall, 4504 Sand Road, featuring garlic vendors from across Southern Ontario and local artisans. Admission by donation.

Trails Fest

September 11 - September 13 

Come explore the Frontenac Arch Biosphere Region during Trails Fest! Join the Frontenac Arch Biosphere for planned hikes. Six different hike locations are part of the weekend series. Pre-registration is recommended as spaces are limited! 

Frontenac County Plowing Match

September 13, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

Host: Compton Family at 1422 Rutledge Rd., Perth Rd. Enjoy a day filled with country life experiences, including live music, tractor wagon tours of the plowing site, an open air local vendor market PLUS food trucks offering delicious eats.

“Design Your Shoreline” Workshop

September 16, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Bedford / Glendower Hall, 1381 Westport Rd., Godfrey, ON. Learn about the benefits of naturalized shorelines for water quality and wildlife. Develop a personalized shoreline planting plan using The Natural Edge Native Plant Database. Have the opportunity to ask questions during a Q&A session with Watersheds Canada staff. Take home 50 free native plants to help restore their shoreline.

Book Club at Southern Frontenac Community Services

The 3rd Tuesday of every month. The Kingston Frontenac Public Library provides books from a list of current titles for the group to read and discuss. No registration or fee required, all welcome!

Remembrance Day

Sand Hill Cemetery: Remembrance Day Service starting at 10:45 am, followed by a reception at Storrington Lions Club Hall in Sunbury. Cash bar. On-site parking.

Sydenham Cenotaph: Branch 496 Royal Canadian Legion service starting at 10:45 am. Refreshments following at the Legion at 4361 Amelia Street.

Verona Cenotaph: Ceremony starting at 10:45 am. A light lunch will be served afterwards at the Verona Free Methodist Church.

Harrowsmith Parkette: Remembrance Day Service to be hosted by the metal poppies within the park. Please arrive for 10:45 am, service to start at 11:00 am.
