Medical Clinics and Health Services

  • Sydenham Medical Clinic is located at 3113 Rutledge Road in Sydenham. The clinic has three family doctors, a nurse and nurse practitioner. They are not accepting new patients at this time. Phone: 613-376-3327.

  • Verona Medical Clinic is located at 6582 Rd 38 in Verona. The clinic has two family doctors and one nurse practitioner. They are not accepting new patients at this time. Phone: 613-374-2077.

  • Kingston General Hospital is an acute-care teaching hospital affiliated with Queens University with a 24-hour emergency department. It is located at 76 Stuart Street, Kingston. Call them at 613-548-3232.
  • Hotel Dieu Hospital is a partner within Kingston University Hospitals and operates an emergency walk-in clinic 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. It is located at 166 Brock Street, Kingston. Call them at 613-544-3400.
  • Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital are affiliated and both have 24-hour emergency departments. Perth Hospital is located at 33 Drummond Street in Perth. Call 613-267-1500. Smiths Falls hospital is located at 60 Cornelia St W in Smiths Falls. Call 613-283-2330.
  • Lennox & Addington County General Hospital also has a 24-hour emergency department and is located at 8 Richmond Park Drive in Napanee. Call 613-354-3301.

Social Services

The Ontario government is responsible for providing social services. See their website for information on financial and employment assistance in Ontario such as Ontario Works and the Ontario Disability Support Program.

The City of Kingston is the service manager for the city and the County of Frontenac for the administration of various community programs. Together with partners, residents, agencies and boards they work with residents that need temporary help with food, shelter, childcare and related essential needs. Their offices are located at 362 Montreal St, Kingston and they can be reached at 613-546-2695.

The following organizations provide social services in South Frontenac 

  • Southern Frontenac Community Services, located at 4295 Stagecoach Road, Sydenham, offer services to seniors, physically disabled adults and low income households. They also run the Grace Centre Food Bank. Most of the services include the areas of rural Kingston and South Frontenac Township. Call 613-376-6477 or 1-855-279-2052.
  • Maltby Centre – Mental Health & Autism Services for Children & Youth (formerly Pathways) is a mental health and autism support agency in Frontenac, Lennox and Addington Counties, dedicated to strengthening and supporting the emotional well-being of children and families. Offering a range of services including counselling, education, advocacy and other interventions in an environment of dignity and respect, Maltby Centre is the Regional Autism lead agency and, in partnership with other agencies, offers a range of services for children and youth who have an Autism Spectrum Disorder.   • Loughborough Christmas & Emergency Relief Committee. For the past 27 years, the Loughborough Christmas and Emergency Relief Committee has been providing Christmas food baskets and toys to those in our community who do not have the means to do so on their own. They also provide support to individuals and families who find themselves in difficult situations throughout the year such as those who are at risk of losing heat or electricity for their homes, loss of home due to fire or other catastrophic events.   • New Leaf Linkserves adults with developmental and physical disabilities. New Leaf Link's day program emphasizes the Arts (e.g. drama, music and information technology), Healthy Living (e.g. nutritious food preparation, movement and social connection) and Community Participation. The program is located at 3876 Harrowsmith Road. Hours of operation are 9:30 am to 2:30 pm Tuesday through Thursday year-round. Cost to participants is $42 per day. New volunteers are welcome!   • Style Revival – Clothing Depot located at Verona Free Methodist Church is open on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and offers free clothes. For more information, contact Keilo at 613-374-5289.
  • Hartington Community Caring 2nd Hand Store is located at 5597 Road 38 in Hartington (Princess Anne Community Centre). Hours of Operation: Tuesdays and Fridays, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.
