Communal Bins

Upon approval, South Frontenac Township will cover 50% of the cost of communal garbage bins to help reduce litter and keep nuisance wildlife out of residential garbage. The program is aimed at laneways where multiple households bring their garbage  to the Township road or for seasonal areas (must be multiple households) who may not be present on their collection day. This bin assistance is not available for single residences.

Once the application is received, we inspect and identify a suitable landing area in a safe and accessible location for the bin(s). See the Application Form and Policy to see if your communal lane is eligible for communal garbage bins.
