Landfills

Using South Frontenac Waste Sites

With Spring finally here, each of our landfills have returned to summer hours. To preserve the future capacity of our landfills, we would like to remind everyone that South Frontenac waste sites are only permitted to accept waste from within our Township.  These operating restrictions are set through the site approvals issued by the province.  When requested, please ensure that you have proof of residency readily available to show the attendant. Contractor must have proof or material origin.

Do not dump items at the gate. Any person disposing of garbage improperly is subject to fines of $300 as per By-law 2005-98.

See below for locations, times and items accepted or print these directions to sites. Landfill sites are closed on statutory holidays. Note we do not accept appliances with freon or hazardous waste. Appliances with freon (fridges/freezers) can be taken to

  • Kimco Steel – charges may apply or
  • Dependable Appliances – 3063 Princess Street, Kingston, 613-777-3034 – charges may apply
