Private Lane Upgrade Program

The Private Lane Upgrade Assistance Program provides grants for residents who live on private lanes to upgrade their lane to improve access for emergency vehicles. The 2026 applications will be available soon.  The Township may fund up to 50% of approved projects to a maximum of $7,000. Funds can only be used towards capital lane upgrades, not regular maintenance (see the list of eligible and ineligible items in the application).

Key dates

• Applications will open March 16, 2026
• Initial applications must be received by May 15, 2026.
• Grant application requests will be considered by Township Council on or before June 2, 2026.
• Work must be completed and receipts submitted by October 31, 2026.
