Snow Social 2026

Join us for the fourth-ever Snow Social! This event is a celebration of the winter season and will feature activities at The Point Park and throughout the village of Sydenham, just 20 minutes north of Kingston. Admission is free however donations will be gratefully accepted. This is an all-weather event. Visitors should dress like a well-prepared Canadian and plan to take part in all sorts of winter fun including snow tubing (conditions permitting) and firepits. We will have a vendor’s market, lots of live music, kids activities, and SNOW much more!

Getting to Sydenham and Parking Information

Sydenham Village is just a short drive from Kingston. Take Sydenham Road north and turn left on Rutledge Road.

Parking information

Parking on village streets is not permitted! The horse drawn wagon rides need enough room to get around, so please refrain from parking on the streets. There is lots of free event parking:

Loughborough Public School - 4330 Wheatley Street (family and accessible parking for the indoor activities)
Sydenham High School - 2860 Rutledge Road
The Point Park - 4410 Point Road (family and accessible parking for the park activities)

Please slow down and watch for pedestrians throughout the village.

Snow much fun! Dress warmly and plan on spending lots of time outside at The Point Park.

11:00 am - 12:00 pm: Indigenous Teachings around the fire with Greg Loft
11:00 am - 4:00 pm:
- Horse drawn wagon rides around the village come and go from the park
- South Frontenac Stocksport Club target games
- Warm up around the fire pits
- Kids ninja course with Elements Outdoors
- Sydenham Lake Canoe Club's Winter Carnival Game
- Inflatable fun and yard games
12:00 pm - 4:00 pm:
- S'mores around the fire pits
- Live music in the heated big top tent

Loughborough Public School - 4330 Wheatley Street

Loughborough Public School will be the place to be for more indoor and outdoor fun!

Outside adventures:

11:00 am - 4:00 pm: Snow tube hill (weather permitting, tubes provided)

Indoor fun:

11:00 am - 4:00 pm:
- A vendors market with lovely local wares
- Free hot chocolate
- Face painting
- Shine's henna art
12:00 pm - 4:00 pm: Yo Yo Dave doing a magic and juggling show and then dazzling with balloon sculpting

Sydenham Library Community Room - 4412 Wheatley Street

Warm up with our friends at the library! There will be stories for all ages hosted by KFPL and winter themed crafts in the community room!
