Boat Launches

South Frontenac offers 22 municipally owned public boat launches and water access points throughout the Township. Facilities vary by location, from trailer-accessible ramps with docks and parking to smaller hand-launch sites for canoes, kayaks and paddleboards. Many are simply gravel road allowances leading to the water.

There are also several non-Township-owned boat launches that can be used by the public.

Before you go:

  • Check the individual site details for parking and launch limitations.
  • Use designated parking only and do not block roads, shoulders, driveways or launch areas.
  • Conditions can change with weather, water levels and seasonal flooding.
  • Clean, drain and dry boats and equipment to help prevent the spread of invasive species.
  • Use caution at all launches and share the space respectfully with other visitors.
