Shortly after 10:00 pm on Sunday, June 22, 2025, 28 South Frontenac Fire and Rescue firefighters from the Hartington, Verona, Sydenham, and Latimer stations responded to a report of a fully involved garage fire in the 5000 block of Bellrock Mill Street.

Starting Tuesday, July 1, 2025, the Township will no longer be responsible for providing recycling pick up services. Under the new recycling program, the changes to recycling collection will impact 'non-eligible sources' - industrial, commercial, and institutional (ICI) property owners.
