On January 30, members of Council, South Frontenac staff and South Frontenac Fire & Rescue recognized 11 local firefighters with Fire Services Exemplary Service Medals from the Provincial and Federal governments.

The Township of South Frontenac will be carrying out leak detection survey work on the Sydenham drinking water system on Sunday, December 15 from 11 pm - 6 am on the morning of Monday, December 16. 

Starting January 1, 2025, all users of South Frontenac’s indoor and outdoor recreation facilities will be charged an updated user fee rate. The 2025 rates are the result of a nearly two-year study aimed at updating the Townships fees and the allocation process for recreational facilities.  

South Frontenac Fire & Rescue will host a series of information sessions at fire halls across the Township in preparation for hiring up to 30 new Paid On-Call Firefighters in 2025.
