Take Notice that the number of candidates for the office of English Language Separate School Board Trustees (Algonquin & Lakeshore Catholic District School Board) Townships of Central Frontenac, North Frontenac and South Frontenac (Elected at Large) was not sufficient to fill the number of vacancies to which candidates may be elected.
South Frontenac staff have identified a potential algae bloom at Gilmour Point Beach on Dog Lake in Battersea. While waiting for confirmation from the Kingston District Office of the Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks, the Township has closed the beach, located at 1763 Wellington St. Battersea, to the public.

Purpose and Effect of the Proposed By-law
A 0.51-hectare (1.24-acre) lot addition is proposed from 4183 Latimer Road to the benefitting property at 3857 Corkey Road, which would increase in size from approximately 0.12 to 0.63 hectares (0.3 to 1.55 acres) and continue to be used as a residential waterfront property. The retained portion of 4183 Latimer Road would be approximately 11.2 hectares (27.6 acres) in area and would continue to be used as a rural residential property.
The enlarged 3857 Corkey Road property would contain both the existing single detached dwelling and the existing seasonal dwelling located within the proposed lot addition from 4183 Latimer Road, as well as several accessory buildings and structures.
The proposed By-law would change the zone of the 0.51-hectare (1.24-acre) lot addition from Rural (RU) and the entirety of 3857 Corkey Road from Waterfront Residential (RW) to a site-specific Waterfront Residential (RW-XX) to permit both a single detached dwelling and a seasonal dwelling, in addition to those accessory uses already permitted under the RW Zone.

The owners propose to enlarge the existing dwelling with a rear addition. The dwelling is setback 23 metres from Bobs Lake. The application seeks permission to enlarge the dwelling within 30m of Bobs Lake. The proposed addition would add approximately 360 square feet of living space.
The owners are also proposing to install a new septic system. The application also seeks a minor variance from the Zoning By-law, which requires new septic systems to be located a minimum of 30 metres from a waterbody. The proposed septic system would be located 24 metres from the lake.
