Maintenance work is being planned this fall for the Pleasant Valley Municipal Drain, a municipal drain built in 1985 that starts in Hartington and drains southwesterly for 6.4 kms towards Petworth Road to the Napanee River. Members of the public are invited to a public meeting to learn more.

We’ve received updated test results from KFL&A Public Health for Sydenham Point Park Beach. The results indicate all areas of the beach are safe for swimming again as of 1 pm on Friday, June 28, 2024.
The Water and Wastewater Study for the Verona Housing Plan is complete and the final report and appendices are now posted on the project page on engagefrontenac.ca for public review for a 30-day period starting June 27, 2024.
We’ve been advised the left side of The Point Beach, 4410 Point Road in Sydenham is unsafe for swimming by KFL&A Public Health due to unacceptable levels of E.coli in the water. The right side of the beach near the water plant continues to be well below acceptable thresholds and remains open for swimming.
