The owner recently constructed a garage addition and is thinking about putting a roof over two shipping containers. The minor variance would allow the total lot coverage of all accessory buildings and structures (2.1%) to be greater than the lot coverage of the house (1.2%).
Over the last two weeks, SFFR has been involved with 9 incidents due to empty propane tanks. When your tank is low/empty during the cold, it has low pressure and the furnace will not operate properly.

Purpose and Effect of the Proposed By-law
The by-law would place a holding symbol on the Rural zone on the retained lands from consent applications PL-BDJ-2024-0078 to PL-BDJ-2024-0080. The holding symbol would require a satisfactory hydrogeological study before a building permit could be issued for any form of housing. This is necessary because the owner was unable to find sufficient water on the lot for a residential use.
Starting in 2026, South Frontenac’s Day Camp program will implement a four-week maximum attendance limit per camper per summer.
