Update: November 25, 2024 - The Level One Fire Ban has been lifted.
South Frontenac’s Fire Chief, Del Blakney, has declared a Level One Fire Ban in effect starting Thursday, October 24, 2024.
The Council of the Corporation of the Township of South Frontenac will hold a public meeting on November 19, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. at its regular meeting to be held at the Storrington Centre, 3910 Battersea Road.
Pursuant to the Township of South Frontenac By-law to Establish Procedures Governing The Sale of Real Property in the Township of South Frontenac (By-law 1999-25)
On November 16, 2024, Mayor Vandewal and Members of Council will welcome South Frontenac volunteers to their annual Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. The luncheon will take place at the Sydenham Legion Hall from 11:30 am – 1:30 pm. The luncheon is free to attend but a timely RSVP is required.
South Frontenac Township has started to prepare their 2025 budget and is asking residents to take a short survey to share their input. Residents can take the short survey by October 11, 2024.
On September 28, 2024, Frontenac OPP, South Frontenac Fire and & Rescue and several partners will host a charity hockey event that will raise funds and food donations for the South Frontenac Food Bank.
Update, Sept 3, 2024: The washroom facilities at Gilmour Point Beach have re-opened.
Aug. 30, 2024: The washroom facilities at Gilmour Point Beach, 1763 Wellington Street in Battersea, will be closed until further notice due to vandalism.
The Council of the Township of South Frontenac will hold a Public Meeting on the Closure of the Unopened Road Allowance. The Township proposes to pass a by-law to stop up, close and transfer ownership of one portion of unopened road allowance.

**UPDATED** Due to the rain in the forecast, we are moving our Saturday, August 17 Music in the Park event to Saturday, August 24. The event will still take place from 1-3 pm at The Point Park in Sydenham.
Municipalities across Frontenac County and the City of Kingston have declared Open Farm Days from August 16 to September 30. Six weeks of public events and experiences are scheduled beginning with an August 16 launch event at Frontenac Farmers Market.
