COVID-19 Response: Building Department Services

For Immediate Release 

Effective April 4, 2020, the Township of South Frontenac is temporarily suspending the issuance of building permits for non-essential construction projects. This decision has been made in accordance with the Provincial Regulation made under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act.  A complete listing of essential workplaces is available from the Government of Ontario.

News Release: Two (2) Township Employees Test Positive for COVID-19

Early last week the Township was notified that two (2) of its Public Works employees had been unknowingly exposed to a single confirmed case of COVID-19. TORONTO — Due to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 outbreak, the Ontario government announced that schools and child care centres will remain closed to protect the health and safety of students and staff. This extension is being made on the advice of the Chief Medical Officer of Health.
