In response the continuing pandemic, the Township has decided to further extend the Interim Tax due date to June 30, 2021.
Interim Tax Notices were issued to all property owners beginning on March 1, 2021, with an initial due date of April 30, 2021. In order to alleviate some of the financial burden being experienced and ensure the health and safety of all residents and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown, Interim Tax payments will now be due on or before June 30, 2021.
Please note that 2021 Final Tax Notices will be issued at the beginning of June, and have due dates of June 30, and September 30, 2021.
Pre-authorized Payment Plans
Taxpayers enrolled in the “D” Due Date pre-authorized payment plan will NOT have the interim installment withdrawn from their bank account on April 30, 2021. Instead the payment will be withdrawn on June 30, 2021.
Anyone enrolled in the plan who would like to make their tax installment prior to this date may make a payment by telephone or online banking or by mailing a cheque.
Making Payments
While our offices remain closed to the public, residents are reminded that payments can be made electronically through telephone or online banking, at their financial institution, online via credit card or through Virtual Municipal Office accessed through the Township’s website, through the mail via cheque, or dropped off at our office at 4432 George St. in Sydenham using the drop box.
Additionally, we encourage all tax payers to consider enrolling in a preauthorized payment plan with the Township. More information and forms can be obtained by visiting our website.
