On July 17th, 2020, the Province announced that several regions, including the Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington Public Health (KFL&A) region, were permitted to enter Stage 3 of the Province’s reopening framework.
Although most outdoor spaces were permitted to open, Township staff required some additional time in order to ensure our outdoor amenities and green spaces were safe and ready for public use.
Recreational Facilities Updates
- All playground structures within Township parks are now open for use;
- Benches and shelters are now available for use;
- Sports fields will be available for bookings as of August 4th, 2020
- Indoor facilities will be available for booking as of September 8th, 2020.
Indoor facilities remain closed as Township staff work to ensure safety protocols are in place for each facility prior to permitting public access, including new booking procedures, limitations on use and proper sanitization.

Further updates about the Township’s service delivery, facilities, and health and safety measures are available through our website, social media platforms, our banner in the Frontenac News and other media channels. All protocols are developed with guidance from KFL&A Public Health and in accordance with Provincial regulations.
The Township offices at 4432 George Street in Sydenham, and Public Services offices at 2490 Keeley Road remain open but subject to mandatory mask and other protocols.
