The Council of The Corporation of the Township of South Frontenac will hold a virtual and in-person Statutory Public Meeting to inform the public about the Official Plan Review under the authority of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P13.

The purpose of the Statutory Public Meeting is to present the new Township of South Frontenac Draft Official Plan to Council and the public. This will include an overview of key policy directions and opportunities for Council and the public to provide input that will be taken into consideration of the final Official Plan.
The Township of South Frontenac Draft Official Plan updates the Township’s vision for the future, ensures consistency with the Provincial Policy Statement, 2020 issued under the Planning Act, and the County of Frontenac Official Plan.
The Draft Official Plan is a long-range planning document containing goals, objectives, and policies to guide land use, development, and growth in the Township to 2046. The Draft Official Plan promotes the building of healthy, complete, and sustainable communities which further the growth and economic development of the community, help protect farmland, and protect environmentally sensitive areas across the Township. It incorporates policies and mapping related to topics such as settlement areas, growth management, housing, agriculture, natural heritage, and mineral aggregate resources.
The Draft New Official Plan will apply to all lands within the municipal boundary of the Township of South Frontenac. Accordingly, no key map is included in this Notice.
