South Frontenac Township has announced the line-up for its Summer Kickoff Music Festival on Saturday, May 25, 2024 from 4-10 pm at Centennial Park in Harrowsmith. The free, family-friendly festival brings together the best in music, food and drink in the region.

This year’s bill includes Courtney Kane, The Goodnight Irenes, Dr. Bombay, Dead Root Revival, R-Banned, and Lowery Mills for an eclectic mix of folk, country, blues and rock to appeal to all age groups and musical tastes.

“Last year was the first year for this festival and we had a fantastic turn out and feedback,” says Mayor Ron Vandewal. “It’s a great opportunity to showcase the high-calibre talent in our region and get together as a community before the busy summer months.”

More than a dozen local sponsors came forward to sponsor the event. The presenting sponsor is RawDogFeed.com. Vandewal says support from sponsors is critical to the success of the event.

“We’re very lucky once again to have strong support from local sponsors so we can continue to make it a free event for the community.”

Along with live local music, the event features food trucks, craft beer and cider vendors, and a kid’s zone from 4-7 pm. There is lots of free on-site parking, and visitors are reminded to bring cash for the vendors, a lawn chair and a refillable water bottle to fill up at the Utilities Kingston water buggy. Volunteers are always needed and appreciated. For more information on the event or to get involved, email recsupport@southfrontenac.net or call Amanda at 613-376-3027.
