South Frontenac Logo

Rich in agricultural heritage and home to the Rideau Canal UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Frontenac Arch Biosphere and many other historical properties and buildings, South Frontenac is a vibrant community that has deep roots in the past.

Established in 2018, the South Frontenac Heritage Committee is made up of passionate community members with an interest in sharing and preserving local sites of cultural and historical significance across the Township.

The Ontario Heritage Act requires a municipality to maintain a register of properties which have been designated as having cultural heritage value or interest.

In order to promote and work towards furthering the goals of the Committee, the Township is looking to add a few additional members to the team. There are currently three (3) vacancies on the Committee that the Township is hoping to fill.
