Take notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of South Frontenac proposes to pass a by-law to stop up, close and transfer ownership of a Township owned road allowance as follows:

Location:

Portion of the Unopened Road Allowance between Concession 2 & 3, Lot 17, District of Bedford

Reason:

The subject portion of the unopened road allowance is located near the end of Sneddon Lane on a large peninsula located on Bobs Lake, Buck Bay.  The unopened road allowance runs from north to south over the peninsula.  Portions of the road allowance have historically been stopped up, closed and transferred.  The proposed portion to be stopped up, closed and sold to the abutting land owner is approximately 117 metres (382.8 feet) in length and 10 metres (66 feet) in width, for a total area of approximately 1,170 square metres (12,632.4 square feet).

It is not anticipated that there would be any impact of this unopened road allowance closure on any other property owner.

The proposed unopened road allowance closing will come before Council for consideration at the regular meeting to be held in virtually via Zoom on January 12, 2021 at 7:00 p.m.  At that time, Council will hear, in person, any individual who claims that his or her land would be prejudicially affected and who has applied to be heard.  Any comments or concerns to the Township would be appreciated, in writing to the undersigned, before the above noted date.
