Winter Parking Restrictions and Landfill Sites Winter Hours

Winter parking restrictions go into effect December 1, 2023. There is no parking on Township roads and village streets from 12 midnight to 7 am from December 1 to March 31, 2024 so our crews can keep roads clear and safe.
We will not be responsible for damages to cars parked overnight or other obstacles that interfere with winter road maintenance.

Wilmer Road Closure

Wilmer Road will be closed just south of Della Lane for five days from November 27 to December 1, 2023 to replace the culvert. Detours will be in place. Please watch for crews and plan an alternate route.
Tree Work at Town Hall Offices

We will be doing tree work on Thursday, November 16 from 8 am to 5 pm behind our George Street offices in Sydenham as part of the town hall expansion project. Please note the following impacts:
- There will be no access to the Planning and Building departments at the back of the building. Visitors are asked to use the main Town Hall front entrance.
- There will be limited parking. Visitors can park on Wheatley Street, Mill Street or at Point Park.

South Frontenac Santa Claus parades

The Sydenham and Battersea Santa Claus parades are coming up. The parades will impact traffic and road closures will be in effect. Motorists are asked to please plan ahead, take alternate routes, drive carefully and watch for pedestrians.
- Sydenham Parade – Saturday, November 25 at 11 am leaving from the fire hall. Stage Coach Road to Mill Street to Wheatley closed, including Rutledge Road. Participants are asked to be at the fire hall by 10:30 am.
