South Frontenac Launches New Recycling App

South Frontenac Township has launched a new mobile app, South Frontenac Recycles, to make it easy for residents to stay informed about waste and recycling collection programs.

The app is being launched during Waste Reduction Week (October 17-23) and Canada’s first Circular Economy Month which invites Canadians to learn more about the circular economy and to take action to reduce waste and recycle.

South Frontenac Township is teaming up with the Sydenham Medical Clinic and Queen’s University nursing students to host two drive-thru flu clinics this fall. No appointments necessary.

Dates and times:

  • Tuesday, October 25 from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • Tuesday, November 8 from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Location:2490 Keeley Road

Please wear short sleeves and remain in your vehicle at all times. You will need to show a valid Ontario health card for all family members getting a shot.

Election day is Monday, October 24, 2022. Here is what you need to know to cast your vote:

  • Voting opens8 a.m. October 17 to 8 p.m. October 24.
  • You can vote by phone or online.
  • Voter Instruction Letters have now been mailed to all eligible voters. Look for your letter in the mail.
  • The letter contains a 12-digit personal identification number. You will need this number to cast your vote.

Today, we mourn the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and lower our flags to half-mast to honour the contributions of this truly great leader.

Earlier this year, I had the pleasure of speaking at an event to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. I remarked what an incredible woman and leader she was.
