People looking to start or expand a food production business to sell locally to restaurants, smaller food stores, or online are invited to a one-stop-shop training event on Friday, Feb. 10, 2023.

We're looking for residents to serve on three committees: the Recreation and Leisure Services Advisory Committee, Heritage Advisory Committee, and Lake Ecosystem Advisory Committee. The deadline for applications has been extended to February 2, 2023 at noon.

South Frontenac to Host Snow Social Event in Sydenham January 21

South Frontenac will host its first ever Snow Social community event on Saturday, January 21, 2023, from 10 am – 4 pm at The Point Park and throughout the village of Sydenham. Admission is free with live music, a vendor village, and many outdoor and some indoor activities planned for all ages.

The event is a result of community collaboration with several local businesses sponsoring the event, and many clubs and agencies teaming up to provide lots of great programming.

The Township of South Frontenac has lifted the Significant Weather Event declaration that was made on December 23, 2022, in accordance with Ontario Regulation 366/18.

Significant weather event important update

IMPORTANT UPDATE: Frontenac OPP opens Township roads

Frontenac OPP have reopened all Township roads. Clean up operations are still underway. OPP are advising drivers to "use extreme caution as some of the smaller roads may not have been plowed as there are still some vehicles stuck. Main roads are in decent, snow covered shape.”
