Soil Gas Mitigation Program

Due to the recent release of the KFL&A (Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington) Public Health of their Radon Testing Study where Radon was found to be above WHO guideline levels in 52% of tested structures and 21% of these structures were above the Canada Health guidelines.

South Frontenac Township is proactively addressing radon gas in new low-rise residential dwellings through its Soil Gas Mitigation Program. This program applies to all building permits applied for after August 31st, 2019....

Hinchinbrooke Rd Closure

Temporary Road Closure - Hinchinbrooke Road at Spring Lake

Please note that Hinchinbrooke Rd will be closed at the Spring Lake Crossing on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

During this closure, Township forces will carry out final repairs to the culvert at the spring lake crossing.

The Township asks that drivers obey all signs and traffic controls in work zones to ensure the safety of local workers. For more information, please contact the Public Services Department at 613-376-3027 Ext 4331.

Crack Sealing Repairs Start on Select Roads

Please note that starting Monday June 6, 2022, crack sealing repair work will begin on the following roadways:

  • Bellrock Village
  • Sections of Bellrock Rd
  • Sections of Rutledge Rd

Residents may experience some delays and are reminded to drive slowly and obey traffic controllers and signage when travelling through the designated work zones.
