Hinchinbrooke Road Update and Summer Works Schedule

With the arrival of construction season, the Township of South Frontenac will be finalizing repairs to Hinchinbrooke Road at the Spring Lake crossing during the month of July 2022. These repairs will take approximately three (3) weeks to complete and are required to address a slope failure that occurred in the summer of 2021.

Family Friendly Contest Encourages Folks to Explore the Cataraqui Trail – The Cat Trail Quest

Municipal Diamonds & Fields Reopen - May 17, 2022

Following yesterday's temporary closure due to rain fall, the Township is re-opening all sport fields as of noon today, May 17. 2022.
The Township will continue to monitor the conditions and may need to close facilities again , should fields and diamonds become saturated. The decision to close fields is based on conditions that can potentially make the sport fields unsafe or cause damage, such as standing water, muddy areas and frost or frozen ground.We appreciate your understanding and...
Temporary Closure of Municipal Diamonds & Fields until Further Notice

Due to the significant amount of rain that has fallen in the past two days, the Township will be temporarily closing all sport fields until further notice.
This action is being taken in order to protect the diamonds, soccer fields and football field from potential damage. The Public Services Department will be monitoring the conditions of our fields and diamonds, and will reopen them as soon as the conditions have improved.
