Join South Frontenac Fire & Rescue, the Public Services Department, Frontenac OPP, Frontenac Paramedic Services, and Southern Frontenac Community Services for this fun, free event!

After a two-year break, the 2022 Touch the Truck event is back and happening on Wednesday, May 4th from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Public Services facility located at 2490 Keeley Road, in Sydenham (rain date of Thursday, May 5th from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm).

Please be advised that Parks Canada will be closing access to the Brass Point Bridge on the Rideau Canal on Monday April 11, 2022, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.

Lower Brewers Swing Bridge Construction Update

Rideau Canal National Historic Site

April 5, 2022 – Parks Canada would like to advise that the construction work to replace the Lower Brewers Swing Bridge which began in the second week of March continues with the concrete demolition work now complete and 80 percent of the old bridge now removed.

Work on the abutments and approach walls will begin in the month of April and will carry on until June 23.   On site activities will then stop until September...

At Council’s April 5, 2022, meeting, Louise Fragnito, Director of Corporate Services and Treasurer, was appointed to the role of Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), effective immediately.
