This Wednesday is National indigenous Peoples Day. Here are some events or activities you can do that day close to home to recognize and celebrate the history, heritage, resilience and diversity of Indigenous Peoples. All events are free.

South Frontenac Township has installed a new StoryWalk® exhibit at The Point Park in Sydenham. It will be a permanent exhibit with stories changing monthly, made possible by a partnership with Frontenac Arch Biosphere Network.

South Frontenac Township is pleased to announce its summer line-up for Music in the Park.

For the second year in a row, residents and visitors can listen to live music from 1-3 pm one Saturday each month at various picturesque waterfront locations. Here is this year’s line-up:

  • June 24, 2023: McMullen Park Beach, Verona, featuring Mellow Lily
  • July 29, 2023:  Gilmour Point Park, Battersea, featuring Dewy Roadkill

South Frontenac Township has moved to a Level One Fire Ban effective Tuesday, June 13, 2023.

A Level One fire ban restricts open air burning for the purposes of burning grass, brush, or other combustible materials, but permits campfires and cooking fires as defined in the By-law 2012-68.

Public Input Wanted for Recreation Fee and Facility Allocation Project

South Frontenac Township is currently seeking public input on recreation program and facility fees and how best to allocate services and facilities so it is fair and equitable across the Township. 

In addition to reviewing its current policies and procedures, the Township is looking at the practices and fees of neighbouring municipalities and seeking input from user groups and the public.
